Lothian Broadband Networks Ltd
Based in the Tech Shed, Lothian Broadband have built their own wireless network in the Lothians and because it’s wireless, they can supply Superfast speeds to even the most far-flung homes. All you need is direct line of sight between your home and their network.
Lothian Broadband is firmly rooted in the Humbie community, having built the network covering Humbie, Fala and surrounding communities on behalf of Humbie & Lammermuir Community Enterprise Ltd in 2015. Find out more about the project here.

Pippa Murphy is a composer, sound designer, arranger and musical director who works with orchestras, ensembles, bands, artists, dancers, writers and performers in the UK and abroad. She makes beautiful music in our studio looking out onto the Lammermuir Hills. Pippa worked with Karine Polwart on the acclaimed production Wind Resistance which was performed both at the Edinburgh International Festival 2016 and at Celtic Connections 2017. Their album, A Pocket of Wind Resistance, has been nominated for Best Album of the Year in Radio 2’s Folk Awards 2018
… and Pippa was one of the ‘soundscape artists’ for ‘Message from the Skies’ which will ran from Hogmanay to Burns Night in Edinburgh!
